Our picturesque little town has so much to offer, and we have 
properties scattered all over the area, from lakeside homes to centrally located apartments.
With our thriving medical community and no fewer than 11 schools, 
it's not surprising that our town is full of locally owned 
businesses and restaurants, supporting our flourishing economy. 
With a projected growth rate of 44% over the next decade,

Arkansas State University

"Creating Opportunities - Changing Lives"

ASU-Mountain Home has been a part of the ASU system since 1995. Since then enrollment has grown to approximately 1200 students. As a public two-year institution, ASUMH offers associate degrees and certificates in occupational fields and transfer degrees for students planning to pursue a bachelor’s degree at another university. Junior, senior and graduate courses are offered through the ASU-Jonesboro programs on the ASUMH campus as well.

Baxter Regional Medical Center

Baxter Regional Medical Center (BRMC), located in Mountain Home, Arkansas, serves patients from a two-state, 14-county area throughout north-central Arkansas and south-central Missouri. The facility is a 268 all-private bed facility with more than 100 physicians on staff. The hospital encompasses 500,000 square feet of space and is the largest employer in Baxter County with over 1,400 employees and over 600 volunteers.

Baxter Regional is the region’s premier healthcare facility, utilizing the most advanced technology such as the state’s first 3-D Mammogram, the nation’s first 3-D Mobile Mammography Unit, the da Vinci® Surgical System and 3T Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).

White River Fishing


Whether you are a beginner looking to bag your limit of Rainbows or a veteran trying to hunt down a trophy Brown, the
White River will satisfy the longings of any angler.

This 92-mile stretch of Bull Shoals tail-water is consistently one of America's most productive fisheries in terms of trout number and size. The water released from the hydroelectric dam below
Bull Shoals, combined with the conservation and stocking efforts of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, has created
ultimate grounds for Rainbow, Cutthroat and Brown Trout. 

Lake Norfork

Only minutes from Mountain Home, the state’s oldest manmade lake, Lake Norfork, is the perfect choice for both fishermen and vacationers.

Lake Norfork boasts 510 miles of shoreline, beautiful blue waters, and 20 developed parks. Spend an afternoon in one of the many swimming areas or take a boat out to enjoy tubing, skiing, or wakeboarding.

If fishing is what you are looking for, Norfork is known for its Black Bass and Ocean Stripers. Tuck yourself back in a cove and lose a few hours reeling in your next big catch.

Many visitors find themselves spending a few days on this
pristine lake, and there are plenty of options for lodging
ranging from a campsite a few steps away to cabins, bed-and-
breakfasts, or lakeside resorts.
